In 1983, the world press reported that 4-year old Bashir was also killed in the assassination of his father, a top PLO lieutenant. But when father and son arrive at the hospital, Bashir turns out to be alive. Now an adult and a political cartoonist, Bashir wrestles with memories of his father and the history of Palestine.
